Last Friday before spring term starts

Expected a normal friday, but havent been doing alot of work on wed and thur. forced myself to wake up at 8 am n realise that alberto is already in the bathroom. Ok, this guy is different from the other 2 who wakes up late in the morning. Surprising his gf is not around.

Reach lab and saw George, he is finally back from the conference at France. Poor thing, 1st day back to lab n got bombarded by me about orthognormalization in reduced basis. He told me that because FEA is in the Hilbert space, the modified GS need to be further modified.

Walked over to Technology sq to buy lunch n meet JLJ, ended up having lunch w her n HS for close to 2 hr. JLJ out of the blue decide to change jacket w HS. wow, JLJ after wearing HS black coat, look stuning, 眼前一亮，惊为天人！If she made that offer wearing that, i wont say no. :P

went back lab n work on RB, coding was simple after i sorted out the various issue. But the results is very funny. then Tony came in at 4 pm, take a look at my results n commented: "2 cases, (a) need more basis vectors or (b) u have a bug.

Then he turn over to take to sugarta n i discover my bug, coded x = b\A instead of x = A\b. Suddenly, the results is super nice. Tony commented that "so, it is answer (b), a bug", so "ma lu". Then he told me to continue to 2 parameters for RB.

Went to a David Copperfield show this evening. Magic was nice, but the whole show is too short. Spend quite a while thinking how he did it. Then i gave up, either it is very simple or very tough. But it is not worth spending time thinking abt it, dont want to spolit the magic.

Note, i got a underground passage all the way from 77 mass ave to building E25, courtesy from george. the trick is, when u reach building 66 from building 56, u will see a painting of an old man. on the left, behind the paining, is a staircase down to the basement, the entrance to the underpass that lead all the way to builing E25. there are enough signs to lead the way. Dont get lost there cos it can be quite creedy walking alone underground at night.....

Came back, go to Ashdown for the Jungle party, free food and dancing lessons. Yes to food n no to dancing. The class was happily learning how to dance. I came out of the party n stroll around the lobby. Do u know that ashdown lobby used to be in the open-space? Ashdown used to be a hotel n the present lobby is the place where horse-carriages stop. (What i am going to type is going to be condemm by the class) that i was, strolling n thinking how to include 2 parameters into the RB......strolling n thinking, walking n thinking.....

N i got it, i think i got it, need to try it out tmrw. wow, got inspiration at ashdown.

ok, time to sleep. tmrw need to wash clothes, no more socks already. tmrw need to out w JLJ. tmrw need to code 2 parameters RB.... tmrw got free food....
